COVID-19

COVID-19

WE ARE OPEN AGAIN!

I am very pleased to announce that following lockdown the physiotherapy clinic at The Writtle Christian Centre is now fully open for business again, and I am ready to offer you relief from all your aches and pains.

Obviously, things will run a bit differently now, but my priority is to be able to give you the skilled physiotherapy care that you are used to whilst looking after your safety, health and well-being.

Following an extensive risk assessment, measures have been put in place to ensure that all government and Public Health England (PHE) guidelines are being adhered to, including social distancing measures, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and strict hygiene, sanitising and cleaning regimes.

If you would like to make an appointment, please phone me on 07973 575944. I will go through some general screening questions in relation to your Covid-19 status and to determine whether it would be more appropriate to see you via an on-line consultation, or whether it would be safe and the best way to manage your symptoms by attending a face to face consultation at the clinic.

Because of the extra measures in place, particularly with regard to cleaning surfaces and aerating the room between patients, unfortunately the number of available appointments per session has been reduced.

What you can expect when you attend:
There are now extra protocols in place to minimize infection risk.
• Please do not arrive more than a few minutes early for your appointment.
• Please stay in your car or outside the clinic until your appointment time as the door may be locked.
• Please bring and wear your own face mask ( if you do not have one I will have a supply of disposable masks for sale at the clinic for £1.00)
• Please do not bring anything with you that you don’t need, as bags, coats etc.. are potential surfaces to spread the virus and are hard to clean /decontaminate.
• On arrival I will ask you a couple of quick screening questions and will take your temperature with a non-contact thermometer to try to ensure that you are          virus-free.
• I will ask you to sanitise your hands on arrival at the clinic.
• Please try to avoid touching any surfaces in the clinic unnecessarily.
• My treatment couch no longer has any soft coverings, and although, following cleaning between patients,  it will be covered with paper towel, you may feel            more comfortable if you lie on a towel. If you choose to do this, please bring a clean towel in a bag which you can lay on the couch, and then take home with            you to put straight in the wash.

If possible I will get you to complete registration forms and other paperwork prior to your attendance by completing them on-line. However if this is not possible, I will complete them for you and just give you a clean pen to sign the necessary forms.

Payment:
Unfortunately, I do not accept payment by card. If possible I would prefer that you make payment for the session by BACS transfer prior to attending for your appointment, but if you are unable to do so, please place the correct cash / cheque in a named sealed envelope and pass it to me on your arrival in the treatment room. If you need a receipt, please inform me prior to your attendance and I will have one already prepared for you.

I would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this time as we get used to this new way of working, but please be assured that a caring and safe welcome awaits you at the Physiotherapy Clinic at the Writtle Christian Centre.

IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING ANY SIGNS OR SYMPTOMS OF COVID- 19 (persistent cough, sore throat, fever, loss of smell or taste) PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT BUT PHONE TO RESCHEDULE.
